​​ 1. When/where does the Conference take place?
​​
The Canadian Animal Law Conference will take place from Friday, September 27 to Sunday, September 29, 2024. A related Student Animal Law Conference will also take place during the day on Friday, September 27. All events will take place at Toronto Metropolitan University in downtown Toronto. ​
​
Friday's Student Conference will be held in the University's POD building at 380 Victoria St.
​
Friday's welcome reception and all weekend conference sessions will be held in the George Vari Engineering and Computing Centre at 245 Church St.

2. Can I sponsor the conference?
Yes! For information about sponsorship opportunities, please email sjanson@animaljustice.ca.​

​ 3. Will the Conference be streamed online?
​All events will take place exclusively in person and will not be streamed online.​​
​

​ 4. Is financial support available for students? ​
Yes! Members of student Animal Justice clubs at Canadian law schools will be eligible to apply for travel funding. If your school doesn't yet have a club, get in touch with us at studentprogram@animaljustice.ca and we can discuss your eligibility!

5. Will there be plant-based food options available? ​
​
Yes! All food served at the conference will be plant-based and vegan, containing no meat, fish, dairy, eggs, or other animal products.

6. Can you suggest an veg-friendly restaurants in Toronto?
Toronto has some incredible plant-based restaurants, and is regularly ranked as one of the world’s best vegan food destinations. You can find a list of restaurants, stores, and other businesses on Happy Cow. We also suggest checking out Foodism's list of vegan-friendly restaurants.
Animal Justice's executive director Camille Labchuk also tracks her favourite plant-based eats in the city. You can find her Google Map here.
Reservations are encouraged in advance, as Toronto restaurants can be quite busy on weekends.

7. Do you need volunteer support at the conference? ​
Yes! We'll have a registration table and an information table at the conference that will be volunteer run. For information about volunteer opportunities, please email sjanson@animaljustice.ca.
