Daphnée B. Ménard

Daphnée B. Ménard is a lawyer and a doctoral law student at the University of Ottawa. She is also a research assistant to Professor Sarah Berger Richardson for her SSHRC funded study on line speeds in Canadian abattoirs. Daphnée’s research interests are mainly in animal and agri-food law, with a particular focus on the regulation of farmed animals. She is interested in the production of this regulatory framework as well as in Law and Society approaches. Her doctoral project is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. Last winter, she was lecturer in animal law at McGill University.
