Pablo P. Castelló is the 2022-2024 Postdoctoral Fellow in Animal Ethics at the Department of Philosophy, Queen’s University. He will commence a research fellowship in the fall of 2024 at the Animal Law and Policy Program at Harvard Law School. His interdisciplinary research seeks to (1) diagnose the conceptual and socio-political conditions that prevent humans from recognising violence and oppression; and (2) construct an epistemology and ethico-politics to visibilise and protect the rich lives of animals, enable the voices of minoritised groups, including animals, and provide concrete socio-legal solutions to achieve these ends. Pablo’s publication record includes several philosophy, conservation, feminist, and law review articles in journals such as the American Political Science Review, Biological Conservation, Hypatia: A Journal of Feminist Philosophy, and the Journal of International Wildlife Law and Policy.
